Empowering Latinas and young women of diverse backgrounds to strive for success in school and in life

Community-Based Programs

L.O.V.E. partners year-round with organizations, hospitals, and community centers to support our great community across NYC. The L.O.V.E. Mentoring Program takes place after school during the academic year and throughout the day during the summer and winter sessions. Mentors and mentees participate in weekly, hour-long sessions guided by a curriculum consisting of mental health, reproductive health, and college and career readiness. Through a series of structured mentoring and group activities that concentrate on personal empowerment, mentees boost their self-confidence and gain access to college and career opportunities. L.O.V.E. serves as an additional safe space where young women acknowledge they are capable of achieving their dreams.

MENTEES

The L.O.V.E. Mentoring program works hand-in-hand with organizations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and The Bronx. L.O.V.E. serves as a preventative and motivational program that emboldens young women ages 13-24 to believe in themselves and in their self-worth. Our program is tailored to provide social and emotional learning support through positive and reliable role-modeling. By enhancing an environment focused on support and empowerment, our goal is to ensure young women accomplish their educational and professional goals.

MENTors

Our mentors are the backbone of our organization. We recruit female college students to support, guide, and be role models to the young women we serve. Our mentors understand and relate to our mentees because they have gone through similar experiences. In turn, our mentees can see themselves reflected in their mentors.
