Empowering young women in NYC

SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS

Student Leadership Network

L.O.V.E. developed a partnership with the Student Leadership Network in 2012 to launch its first mentoring program in one of their network of schools called The Young Women’s Leadership Schools (TYWLS).

The Young Women's Leadership Schools are public all-girls schools in NYC that are committed to support young women to maximize academic achievement, social emotional well-being, and post-secondary success.

L.O.V.E. has had the opportunity to serve over 1,000 young female students across five TYWLS schools since 2012.

International network for public schools

L.O.V.E. has also been able to expand its services by partnering with The Internationals Network for Public Schools. The Internationals Network for Public Schools (International Schools) supports newly arrived immigrants who are English language learners in NYC.

Since the partnership began in 2015, L.O.V.E. has been able to serve over 600 students enrolled in the International Schools.

NYC DOE COMMUNITY SCHOOLS

NYC Department of Education Community Schools are based on partnerships between school staff, families, youth, and the community to raise student achievement by ensuring that children are physically, emotionally, and socially prepared to learn.

L.O.V.E. developed its partnership with the Community Schools in 2016. During the past six years, L.O.V.E. has supported over 300 students across nine Community Schools.
